This program has a two-fold affect. It is designed to educate our High School age students in a real life home construction project. The students get “hands on” experience in all phases of home construction, while building a home that, upon completion, is sold to families that might not be able to purchase a home through conventional methods.
To date, this program has provided six first time home buyers with a place of their own. All six homes were built in existing neighborhoods of the city and county. The neighborhoods were greatly impacted and enhanced by the presence of these new homes.
